Insano (Nitro Mega): New Album by Kid Cudi

February 27, 2024TRAKTRAIN

Kid Cudi, the maestro of Experimental Hip-Hop, has once again stunned fans with his latest album, “Insano (Nitro Mega)”. In this musical odyssey, Cudi takes listeners on a journey through his creative universe, blending elements of Rap, Rock, and Electronic music into a mesmerizing sonic tapestry.

Kid Cudi has released the album “Insano (Nitro Mega),” a Promised deluxe supplement, but dropped a separate release with 18 tracks. This release was initially planned as a deluxe addition to the album “Insano”, released in January. But whether it grew too much (18 tracks!), or didn’t want to tie itself to one of the weakest works in Kid Cudi‘s discography – and here we have the second album in two months, subtitled “Nitro Mega”.

  • Album Concept: “Insano (Nitro Mega)” serves as a testament to Kid Cudi‘s boundless creativity and innovative spirit. The album delves into themes of self-discovery, mental health, and personal growth, offering listeners a glimpse into Cudi’s innermost thoughts and emotions;
  • Featured Tracks: Among the standout tracks on “Insano (Nitro Mega)” are “Dose of Dopeness”, a high-energy anthem celebrating Cudi’s signature style, and “Human Made”, a introspective ballad reflecting on the complexities of human nature. Each track on the album showcases Cudi’s unparalleled talent for blending genres and pushing musical boundaries;
  • Collaborators: While Kid Cudi takes center stage on “Insano (Nitro Mega)”, the album also features collaborations with several notable artists, including Travis Scott, Kanye West, and André 3000. Their contributions add depth and dimension to Cudi’s sonic landscape, further elevating the album’s impact.

The work is less experimental than the first “Insano”; it has more chances to appeal to those listeners who fell in love with Kid Cudi for the melodic Emo Rap of his early releases – sometimes depressive and sometimes very bright and full of hope.

Unexpectedly, two old tracks are included in the tracklist, which should be familiar to Kid Cudi fans and which have not been officially released before – these are “Dose of Dopeness” (recorded in 2007) and “Rocket” (2011), recorded during the time of the side project WZRD.

Pusha T, Lil Yachty, Wiz Khalifa, Steve Aoki, Krayzie Bone, Layzie Bone, and Kid Cudi‘s long-time musical companion Chip Tha Ripper are also featured on the album.
